For many years that was the preconception. Unfortunately, not all medical people embrace homoeopathic remedies. In this case diet and exercise.

Some don’t understand it while others think it’s going to be too much additional work. 

I simply told my doctor I was going to try it for 8 weeks and if it didn’t work I would do it his way.

It’s always best to consult the doctor about your medication. Ask if they would be happy to monitor you and adjust your meds accordingly.

For the majority, it is safer than staying on the cocktail of drugs they have put you on. 

I wouldn’t advise you to just come off your medication by yourself as a massive high or low sugar spike can be fatal.

While I can’t guarantee you’ll feel full all the time, the majority of people stop feeling starved after the first couple of days, I certainly did.

My energy levels also bounced up rapidly as my blood sugar dropped.

It’s not uncommon to look slim and still be over-fat (skinny fat). The problem in this case is not so much how much fat you store but where your body is storing it.

Fat around the outside of your body (adipose tissue) is not really problematic, it is the fat in and around your organs  (visceral fat). In the case of diabetes in your pancreas and liver.

Yes you will look skinny for a while while you clear out these organs but you will be alive and more energetic.

You can add some weight back after with weight training in the form of muscle. I have some great programmes for that.

The 4-week programme is probably just the thing for you. If blood sugar is the cause of your symptoms you should feel great again in a couple of weeks. You can then switch on to a more sustainable way of life.

If you have a lot of weight to shift you could also use either the 8 or 12-week programme, they shouldn’t do you any harm.

Yes, unfortunately!

This programme will work for most people with type 2 diabetes and/or prediabetics.

It will not work for type 1 diabetics or people suffering from pancreatic cancer. There are one or two other pancreatic conditions that prevent it from helping.

Great question. If you make a return to your old lifestyle you will probably become diabetic again at some point. 

However, most people once they have felt the benefits of the diet don’t want to return to their old way of eating.
