3-day-a-week Strength training programme. This programme uses only a bench, squat stand, bar and weights, with nutritional coaching from the award-winning Precision Nutrition, while following the strength protocols.
As such, it’s perfect for small areas or tight budgets.
The Men’s Age Well Programme works on the premise that all human movement requires strength. Without it, we can’t move by ourselves. The move we have of it the better and easier we move.
For this reason, STRENGTH is the most basic aspect of fitness and the most important. Strength has a positive knock-on effect on ALL other aspects of your fitness.
Flexibility is increased by working muscles through their full range, unlike cardio which works a minimal range in most cases. It also strengthens that new range of movement so we can keep it longer.
Endurance is the ability to repeat something at a given percentage of its one-rep maximum. If that one-rep maximum is higher so is our ability to repeat it at the same lower level.
Power/Speed (while being strongly influenced by your genetics) the ability to move things faster is also affected in a similar way to endurance. The more you can lift the faster a lighter load will move.

Strength training is perfect for both beginners, older adults and experienced athletes. You start from your strength and progress up, using exercises your body was designed to do.
Your sessions with me are in a fully equipped gym, so you won’t need anything in those sessions. You may want to get a lifting belt at some point but I can advise you on that as we go.
If you do any strength training outside of the gym i.e., at home, you just need a bar, squat stand and a bench.
