Having decided to take part in the North Run last year for a charity close to my heart, I joined a local gym, however I developed shin splints from over training and at this point I knew I needed help to complete the run.
I joined David Lloyd and decided to have personal training session with Rick as I knew I needed help to complete the run. I can honestly say that without the help and guidance of Rick I would not have been able to complete the run and raise the money that I did.
I have continued my training sessions with Rick and it is great how often the routine gets changed so workouts never get dull and are always really good fun. I love the fact that at the beginning of a new routine I get asked what areas I want to work on and within a minute Rick has written up a whole new routine!

This year I have made a commitment to lose weight and improve my overall fitness. I know this is this would not be possible without my attendance to the weight loss classes, Rick runs. Here, I have learnt so much about eating healthily which is really the most important. I really enjoy the group exercises, we motivate each other and it doesn’t seem like exercise because we’re having fun.
My personal training sessions are great and focused. I think the great thing is he talks me through where I need to strengthen and how I can improve.
I encountered a bike accident in 2000 and sustained a broken leg, I gradually became unfit, overweight and generally lethargic having lost the enthusiasm to keep fit.
I joined David Lloyd Gym January 2008 to attempt to get back in shape. Rick came highly recommended as a personal trainer by David Lloyd staff.
Rick has trained me for a year, twice a week on average, which has made me feel in great shape and has enhanced my life generally.

Training with Rick will enable you to reach the goals that you desire. I started training to improve my fitness levels for fell walking and backpacking. I have done two fortnight long walks over tough terrain since starting and know that without the improved back strength and core stability it would not have been as enjoyable or worthwhile.
In the time I've spent training with Riccardo my strength and posture have improved massively. I achieve a personal best deadlifting 100Kg and I was over the moon.
